The
Lacandon are one of the Maya Peoples who live in the jungles of the Mexican state of Chipas, near the southern border with Guatemala. Their homeland, the Lacandon Jungle, lies along the Mexican side of the Usumacinta River and its tributaries. The Lacandon are one of the most isolated and culturally conservative of Mexico's native peoples. They almost extinct in 1943. They been found by people in near 50 years ago, they are absolute isolate with outside.


Lacandon Indians belief Maya religion. As the culturally conservative, they pray their ancient in Yaxchilan which near the Usumacinta River.
Yaxchilan means
"green stones" in Maya.



























Lacandon Indians are always wearing white cloth that possible make by the fiber of tree.
