149th Street Writers Bench
BEGINNING in the 1970s, city kids swept up in the new trend of scribbling graffiti on the outside of subway cars gathered on a bench in the 149th Street-Grand Concourse station in the Bronx to appraise each other’s work as trains rumbled by on the tracks. The site became known as the 149th Street Writers Bench, and it is legendary in graffiti lore.

It's another true story that happen in Bronx. A young firefighter killed in the
Bronx. It's not mean he been killed by somebody but in an accident that when the floor of a burning collapsed while he was inside looking for survivors. He is Michael C. Reilly and this was happened on August 27,2006.Reilly was one of 138 firefighters who had responded to the the fire at a 99-cent store in the Bronx.
